Independence Basic comes with the same audio engine as Independence 2 and is of course fully compatible with Independence Free and Independence 2. Beside the option to load also 3rd party VST effects and VST instruments - which is not enabled in Independence Basic - you have access to the same powerful software features of Independence 2. Using the "Quick Edit" page you can immediately load any instrument and customize it with the most common basic parameters and manipulations, like filter and effect settings. With the freely assignable knobs and buttons of the "remote control" area you can also edit your favourite parameters directly on the Quick Edit page without the need to switch to the other pages. Of course you have also access to all the other pages of Independence Basic that offer you the most detailed and inspiring editing, customization and manipulation of your instruments and sounds. With the import option for audio and midi files you can additionally use Independence Basic also as your sampler workstation even for your other sample libraries, loops and audio files.
